Dr. Kim, DPM
Dr. Sooji Kim completed her undergraduate studies in Economics at SUNY Stony Brook University, at Stony Brook, New York. Dr. Sooji Kim received her doctorate from the New York College of Podiatric Medicine in 2013.
Dr. Kim’s residency training as Chief Resident was completed at Bellevue Hospital including Jacobi Medical Center, North Central Bronx Hospital, Woodhull Medical Center and Gouverneur Health Medical Center, where she received extensive training in all facets of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery. Upon postgraduate residency completion, Dr. Kim was given faculty status as Attending Physician at the Podiatric Residency and Wound Care Program at Bellevue Hospital, St. Barnabas Bronx Hospital and South Nassau Community Hospital. Dr. Kim is responsible for inpatient and outpatient care, as well as all facets of medical and surgical training of the podiatric residents at the Center for Wound Healing and Hyperbaric Medicine.
Dr. Kim has a particular interest in cosmetic surgery of the foot in addition to diagnosing and treating all congenital and acquired foot and ankle deformities, sports medicine related pathologies, and reconstructive foot and ankle surgeries. Dr. Kim is board certified in American Board of Podiatric Medicine and board qualified in the American Board of Foot Surgery. She is certified in the Undersea and Hyperbaric Medical Society; Restorix Health National Board of Diving and Hyperbaric Medical Technology.
Dr. Kim is a member of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons; the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery; the American Podiatric Medical Association; the New York State Podiatric Medical Association; the American College of Foot and Ankle Orthopedics and Medicine; and the American Association for Women Podiatrists. Dr. Kim was born in South Korea and her family immigrated to the United States in 1997. Dr. Kim is fluent in Korean and English. During her free time, Dr. Kim enjoys staying active by running and personal training, playing cello, painting, and spending time with her lovely two dogs, Dduddu and Maru.
